Below is the summary of March 2017 Civil Service Exam - Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) results for Professional and Subprofessional levels courtesy of CSC. 

MARCH 2017 CSE-PPT RESULTS SUMMARY
CSE-PPT eligibility exams for March 2017 catered a total of two hundred thousand seven hundred thirty six (230,736) examinees. 197, 924 (85.78%) took the professional level while 32, 812 (14.22%) tried to hurdle the subprofessional level.

The exams are administered by the Civil Service Commission on March 12, 2017 at CSC testing centers located in NCR, CAR, CARAGA, ARMM and all Regional testing centers nationwide.

CSC said that the bulk of examinees for March 2017 came from the National Capital Region (NCR), having 34, 827 examinees or an equivalent of 15.09% of all examinees nationwide. It was followed by Region 4 (Southern Tagalog) having 32, 654 examinees or 14.15% and Region 3 (Central Luzon) with 15, 703.

As per CSC,
The professional eligibility is needed for appointment to second level (technical) positions in the government, requiring at least a bachelor’s degree for education. The Subprofessional eligibility is applicable to first level (clerical) government positions that require less than four years of college studies. The Professional eligibility may also be used for clerical positions. Both eligibilities, though, cannot be used for positions involving practice of profession and those covered by special laws.
