Living in the digital age gives us access to everything from the oldest memories to the most relevant facts—but only for as long as we keep our batteries alive and our storage free of clutter.
Keeping your smartphone in top working condition need not be more complicated than adjusting some of your gadget's settings.
According to gadget experts, make sure to keep your screen brightness at 30% and avoid turning on WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, and GPS unless you really need to use them. These settings consume the most power from your smartphones.
To save storage space, delete unnecessary applications, turn off your Photo Stream (for iPhone users), and be wary of the “Auto-save” setting.
“Ang pinakamalaking kumakain ng storage natin ay 'yung naka-auto save. Dito sa Pilipinas, uso ang Viber. Kapag nagpapadala ng pictures, usually ang settings ng tao, download everything. So lahat ng pictures at videos na ipinapadala doon, nase-save sa cellphone. Kinakain ngayon ang storage,” said gadget technology expert Carlo Ople in a report on Unang Hirit. There are also applications and external storage devices to help you manage your files, including the USB On-The-Go (USB-OTG) and external SD cards. — Bianca Rose Dabu/BM, GMA News -
